Performance Experience

Between the 1980s and 2001 my dance training was cyclical and performing was out of the question as I navigated crucial events like the civil war in El Salvador (1980-1992) and developing a demanding academic career (1990-2001).  However, these years included my living and doing research in Spain and Cuba, whereI learned to understand and love the cultures that sustain the dance traditions in which I later became immersed.
